KIDS  BELIEVE  PROGRAMS

A comprehensive youth empowerment and mentoring program of the Moretta Economic Development Corporation.  The program focuses on the connecting essential school supplies to children through  collaboration with community based organizations and network of community members that care.  Regional events raise awareness and distribute school supplies locally to vulnerable children and families in need.

The Moretta EDC education initiative provides resources (books, school supplies and scholarships) and connects youth to enrichment activities in math, science and technology. Annual student achievement recognition events foster the pursuit of higher learning in the fields  of science and technology.  The events also recognizes teachers for outstanding commitment and educational excellence.

The School Box Kit Program  is a national outreach effort of the Moretta Economic Development Corporation.  The 'First Day First' initiative aims for positive impact and solution teams work in collaboration with community agencies to distribute essential school supplies to vulnerable children and families in need. Connecting kids to education and the joy of learning are key goals of the program. 

The program helps underserved, at-risk children and their families, bridge resource gaps, and reduce the lasting negative effects of deep budget cuts, teacher job losses, household unemployment, community foreclosures, crime, homelessness and youth homelessness.

 The school box kit program is a community care program that  connects children to essential school supplies and the joy of learning.  Kits are pre-assembled with mom and teacher approved products, delivered efficiently and hassle-free.
